Ohio Medical Reserve Corps (OMRC)The mission of the Ohio Medical Reserve Corps is to establish teams of local volunteer medical and public health professionals who can contribute their skills and expertise throughout the year as well as during times of community need. |

What is MRC?MRC is comprised of locally based licensed health professionals
and non-licensed volunteers who are able to assist their
communities during the time of an emergency such as chemical
spills, influenza epidemic, or an act of terrorism. The
volunteers offer education and prevention services that improve
public health infrastructure of their neighborhoods.

Portage County is looking for YOU to join the Portage
County Medical Reserve Corps (PCMRC). It is as simple as
following the directions below. PCMRC offers quarterly mailings,
training, drills, and all the resources you will need to be an
active member of PCMRC. Service is ALWAYS voluntary. |

Ohio Revised Code 121.404 provides liability protection to registered Ohio Citizen Corp (including Ohio Medical Reserve Corp) volunteers during local, state or federally declared emergencies, disasters, drills and trainings. It is necessary to complete the entire registration process to be eligible for liability protection. The statute also exempts a registered volunteer's personal information on the Ohio Citizen Corps Database from public disclosure. |
