Absentee Voting
You may vote by absentee ballot if you:
- Fill out
application for Absentee
Voters Ballot
You may request an absentee ballot from the Portage County Board of Elections by:
- Completing this (Absentee
Ballot Application.PDF) and mail to the Board of Elections. (Absentee Ballot is in
PDF format. After printing the form, please complete it, and return
it to the Portage County Board of Elections.) Note: Opening PDF
files requires Adobe Acrobat Reader available free at:
www.adobe.com
- Mailing a letter to the Board of Elections with the following information:
Your name and address where you are registered to vote.
Your birth dateProvide Ohio Drivers License Number or last four digits of SS#The election for which you are requesting a ballot.
Your party choice for a Primary Election or if you want an issues-only ballot.
The mailing address where you want your ballot sent.
Your signature as it appears on your voter registration card.
3. Vote in person at the Board of Elections Office.
You may return your absentee ballot to the Portage County Board of Elections by:
Mailing it to the Board of Elections using the envelope provided.
You or a relative may hand-deliver it to the Board of Elections.
Your absentee ballot must be received by the Board of Elections before 7:30 PM on Election Day to be counted.
